Japanese beef is eligible for the Singapore market. The importer holds the licence and takes a permit for each shipment. These are the conditions we work to, confirmed per shipment.
- Eligibility
- Japanese beef is permitted into Singapore, covering edible cuts and offal from cattle born and raised in Japan, chilled or frozen. We confirm the scope for each consignment.
- Documents
- Japan's meat sanitary certificate and AQS export quarantine certificate, together with the veterinary health certificate the destination requires. The exact set is confirmed per shipment.
- Facility
- Slaughter and processing run through establishments approved by MHLW for export to Singapore. We confirm the specific facility per shipment.
- Tariff
- Beef is not subject to customs duty in Singapore. Goods and services tax applies on import and is handled by the importer. We confirm the current treatment per shipment.
- Chilled / frozen
- Both supported; chilled at 0–4°C, frozen at −18°C or below, unbroken to the destination.
- Clearance
- The importer holds a licence from the Singapore Food Agency and takes a permit for each shipment. Consignments are inspected on arrival before release.
