- Eligibility
- Japanese beef is permitted into Taiwan under current TFDA and BAPHIQ conditions, with SRM removed and processing through MHLW-certified facilities. Specific conditions are confirmed against current Taiwan notices per shipment.
- Documents
- Japan's MHLW meat sanitary certificate (carrying the details Taiwan specifies) and AQS export quarantine certificate, with TFDA/BAPHIQ border inspection.
- Facility
- All facilities (slaughter, processing, storage) must be MHLW-certified and notified to the Taiwan side in advance.
- Tariff
- Taiwan applies a per-kilogram specific duty on beef, which has recently been subject to temporary reductions. We confirm the current rate per shipment.
- Chilled / frozen
- Both supported; temperature records are checked at border inspection.
- Clearance
- A multi-stage (origin / border / market) inspection regime. Typically several business days with complete documents.
