— Why did you choose the path of a tea master?

I grew up in an environment that had nothing to do with tea. My encounter with tea came when I was 17 years old—when I first saw the tea fields of Uji and enjoyed a cup of delicious tea. The magnificent scenery and the taste left such a strong impression that I became a devoted fan and began researching everything I could. What I discovered was that the tea industry was called a "declining industry." This was shocking to me. I felt a sense of crisis: "Could this wonderful product of Japanese culture really disappear?" At the same time, I made a commitment: "I want to protect the Japanese tea industry—a treasure of ancestral wisdom and technique—and carry forward its authentic flavors." I wished to share this experience with as many people as possible, transform the industry with my own hands, and revive Japanese tea culture. This became the reason I aspired to become a tea master at 17. Since then, I have continued to face my challenges with sincerity. Under the guidance of Japan's finest mentors and fellow tea masters, I overcame numerous hardships and accumulated wisdom, experience, and the passion of the craftspeople. It has been over 10 years since I entered the industry, but I am still far from my goal. I am who I am today thanks to my teachers, tea farmers, and fellow tea masters. I will continue to approach my work with sincerity and pursue the same great taste for our customers. Step by step, building trust—I will contribute to my dream of reviving Japanese tea culture.

— What is your role at First Agri?

I am responsible for the quality of all tea products, overseeing procurement, processing, and product development. In procurement and processing, I carefully inspect every product for color, aroma, taste, and texture, and blend according to customer needs. In product development, I focus on pursuing delicious taste and always solving customer challenges.
